Maria brings over 35 years of experience in the financial and tax sector, which she has leveraged to establish her own local franchise, Eagle Tax. In addition to running her business, Maria serves as a municipal Councillor, where she advocates for local businesses and drives innovative policy initiatives to support economic growth and effective governance.

Christine is dedicated to strengthening communities through engagement, asset development, and grassroots initiatives. As the Economic Development Manager for the Town of Petawawa, she takes pride in actively creating opportunities to support, shape, and grow rural businesses.

Crystal is originally from the GTA and relocated to Petawawa 14 years ago at which time she continued her career with The Brick at the Pembroke location. With over 20 years with The Brick she decided to take on a new challenge and became a licensed mortgage broker servicing all of Ontario with a focus on the Ottawa Valley and surrounding areas. Travis Richards boasts a decade-long marketing career and is the dedicated founder/online marketing business broker at Travis Richards Office in scenic Barry’s Bay, Ontario. As a provincially licensed professional with expertise in marketing, Google, and executive office administration, Travis is committed to community building and championing inclusion. Currently, he serves as the chair of the board nominating committee, proudly contributing to business leadership on the chambers board of directors.

Ex Officio Director
Heather Sutherland is the Economic Development and Communications Officer for the City of Pembroke. She started her career in journalism, running the newsroom at the Barry’s Bay This Week newspaper. From there she moved from community news to community development taking on the role of manager of the Pembroke Business Improvement Area, which she held for 5.5 years. She has worked in tourism, economic development, and communications for the City since 2017. She has been a Chamber board member since 2019.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, spending time in the outdoors, volunteering, and reading.
